If you find your GDDR6X temperatures run super hot with HWInfo64, it's a good idea to keep your graphics card at stock settings. And again, Nvidia's cards don't appear to start throttling GPU clocks until the temperature hits 110C. Presumably it's the hottest part of any of the GDDR6X chips, measured internally. ![]() We also don't know exactly what "GDDR6X Memory Junction Temperature" means, as far as the other GDDR6X chips are concerned. We don't have precise answers as to why Nvidia is allowing the GDDR6X chips to hit these temperatures. 24/7 mining on the other hand with memory running at 100-110C seems like the sort of thing that could cause premature card failure. For gaming, with the GDDR6X running at 100C or lower, that appears to be within tolerance from Nvidia's perspective. Ideally I would like it to be not too much louder but I can use my current profile for ‘overnight mining’ so that’s good. These high junction temperatures do give us some cause for concern, but it's not clear how they'll affect the cards long term. ![]() My case has 2 200mm fans so I can push decent airflow into the system to keep it cool. I get a temp of around 58c and power usage of around 223w (both according to lolminer)ĭoes anyone know some good settings to try? I care about the longevity of my card (2-3 years) so I don’t want to overheat it. I get about 81 mh/s I use lolminer with an ethermine pool My power limit is set to 70% (afterburner) I have a custom power curve which peaks at 1900mhz, I don’t know how to explain it properly, here’s a picture: My fan speed automatically is set to about 60% My core voltage and memory clock are set to default (I can’t edit core voltage for whatever reason). Just started mining ETH with my 3080 for a bit of fun mainly, and was wondering how easily it would be to get more power from it.
